Flight Simulator Joystick - Welcome

Welcome to the Flight Simulator Joystck web site. We consider ourselves to be a little bit on the fanatical side when it comes to playing our favorite flight sims. Flight simulation has a come a long way in recent years. With every advance in technology graphics and realism take another giant leap forward.

In the good old days of flight simming we didn't have much choice in the type of flight simulator joystick we could use. They usually only had two buttons and resembled a square box with a stick poking out of the top. Mostly we had to rely on our trusty keyboard for setting trim and rudder. In the very early days most joysticks didn't even have a throttle or rudder twist.

Thankfully, these days, with flight simulation becoming more and more popular our choices are increasing and it can be hard to choose the right set up for your rig. If you're into WW2 or combat flight simulation in general you probably need a stick or HOTAS. If you're into general aviation you will be more comfortable with a flight simulator yoke. To add to the realism you would probably also get a seperate flight simulator controller with at least a throttle, mixture and trim control on it.

Gone are the days of using your mouse and keyboard for controlling your aircraft. Now you can buy just the right sort of flight simulator joysticks and controllers that enable you to fly your aircraft without any input on the keyboard or mouse whatsoever. We keep our eyes open for what's available and report about it here so you can choose the right set up for your favorite flight simulator.

An example of a great flight simulator experience is seen below in this movie of a Cessna 150 Home cockpit setup. How cool is that.
